The Kirk Method

The Kirk Method is a piece of Newfound Glory Hole lore, coined in a two-message exchange on January 29, 2026 between Kyle Derrick and Matt. It is the chat's name for the practice of leaving an unflushed restroom souvenir before exiting a socially charged situation.

"I do like the thought of Kirk having left shid in the toilet before getting Merced." — Kyle Derrick, 17:58 UTC
"The Kirk method apparently." — Matt, 18:05 UTC

Merced here is the chat's verb for getting shot (Kyle had used the construction earlier on November 3, 2025: "NFL is less rigged than Charlie getting merced"); the Kirk is the political commentator Charlie Kirk, shot and killed on September 10, 2025. The Kirk method, then, is named for the corpus's running joke about leaving an unflushed restroom souvenir before being shot.

The single most-quoted use of shid in the corpus, but not the first — shid and its relatives have been in the chat's vocabulary since Evan Bbbender's "That's what I call my shiddies" on August 27, 2020 (see Shidding).
