Sheets Kingdom

Sheets Kingdom is the March Madness–adjacent hoen variant first proposed by Matt on March 18, 2026 and immediately ratified by Cullen Conway.

Sheets Kingdom

Sheets Kingdom is a hoen lunch variant that emerges in the Newfound Glory Hole during the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament, when bracket-fillers ("sheets") and unstructured midday drinking align in a single observance.

Etymology

The phrase appears for the first time on March 18, 2026 in a one-line proposal from Matt:

"Sheets kingdom hoen."

Cullen Conway immediately seconded the proposal, with a structural argument:

"It is March madness so sheets kingdom is coming to life."

Cullen's clause-form ("coming to life") implies that Sheets Kingdom is not invented anew each March but is dormant for the rest of the year, waiting on the tournament to summon it.

Practice

The practice does not appear to require an actual NCAA bracket; the idea of brackets is held to be sufficient. Sheets Kingdom is therefore best understood as a hoen lunch held under the aspect of March Madness, distinct from any actual sports viewing.
